The Autobots and Decepticons flee a resource‑depleted Cybertron to search for energy and crash on prehistoric Earth. Four million years later, a volcanic event reactivates both factions. Megatron immediately begins stealing Earth’s energy resources while Optimus Prime vows to protect humanity.
